Beyond Baby: A Couples’ Guide to Postpartum Wellbeing in the lens of Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a holistic and ancient system of medicine and wellness that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It is a body of wisdom that teaches us how to live healthfully in our body in the most natural way possible.

The first 42 days after childbirth is known in Ayurveda as the "Sacred Window''. This period is considered crucial for both the mother and baby's well-being. It’s a time of profound vulnerability and transformation, during which the body undergoes significant physiological changes, and the mind experiences emotional fluctuations.

In this workshop couples will discover the importance of postpartum care through the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. You’ll learn fundamental principles of this beautiful science and how it applies to postpartum care, including the importance of balance, nutrition and daily routines.

We’ll go over specific techniques like a daily oil massage, herbal remedies and dietary guidelines that promote healing and rejuvenation for the new mother.

Partners will gain insights on how they can actively participate in the postpartum journey, creating a supportive and nurturing environment for the entire family.

Lastly we’ll explore strategies for managing emotional changes and stress, ensuring that both parents are mentally and emotionally prepared for the demands of parenthood.

Whether you are expecting your first child or expanding your family, this workshop will empower you with the knowledge and tools to navigate the postpartum period with confidence and harmony. Together, you can embrace this transformative time with a holistic approach that honors and supports both mother and baby.
